I personally do keep track of it and If my page rank increases or improves for any one of my sites that I own, I say great ,but if it does not improve or goes down I "try" not to lose sleep over it. In other words, I guess it's one of those things that are great if it's high for a site, but If it's low then we should not try to worry about it too much. Serp is what really counts and if that drops down in the search engines dramatically then it's time to be concerned.
