What is Pligg? Pligg is an Open Source Web 2.0 CMS. Pligg combines bookmarking, social networking, and blogging. With Pligg the visitors are creator, consumer and judge of the content. Each submitted news item has a vote button, URL and a short description. Visitors may vote and comment on every item. At the end of the day, depending on the vote count, items are automatically promoted to the home page, held in the queue, or permanently removed from site. Basically Pligg sites are like Digg.

Excellent list !! My only hesitation is that many of these Pligg sites might not be around very long and is it really worth building links in places you are unsure of?

I wonder if these backlinks will show up in Google and Yahoo link-counts? If so, one function would be to discourage competitors, even if the positive SEO value is limited.
